An annual run organised by the pacemakers , N we the slowmovers are glad to be a part of it...repped by Chan,Fuzahir,Yusof,Maznah N her sis...celebrated the Agung's Birthday with other kaki runnerz with a medley relay run. Almost all the usual mat n meena lari was there. Bravoooooo to all !
Reached there b4 7 am, collected the bib..the others too were on time except for Jaya..MIA...luckily registered 5 runnerz...The race starts sharp at 7.30am. First runner had to be a lady...followed by Fuzahir, Yusof N Chan. Ran in the park...about 3.3 km per runner.The route was ok except 4 the 2 small long hills.I just ran in a steady pace..easy run... still recovering from Sundown. Our team finished in about 71:47 mins. Yeah ..We rrrrrrrrrr The SlowMovers....!!!.. Collected the medal N rushed back coz kerja ma....!!!
Next would be the Phuket Marathon...(21k)..till then Bye...!!!

12.00 am (31st May - 1st Jun)..Changi Village,S'pore...

It's a midnight marathon..first ever in Singapore....My first attempt to run 42.195 km after almost 21 years..can I do it with not much prepration (only one LSD - 30k Great Eastern)..
The panic status has struck ...my body tempreature is a bit above the normal, my nose started to run earlier then my legs... Oh boy!..wat's happenin..???...but the mind says..what the hack...just get down there ... n just do it...!!!
Agus N Yulie...the superb couple whom I stayed with in Chuo Chu Kang province ( sent me off up to the Pasir Ris MRT which is the last staion for the East-West lane). A shuttle bus ($2.50) took the runners to the Changi Village. Reached there about 11 pm...ramai juga yang gila cam saya...lari waktu orang tido....thousands of runners...Wow!!...changed n deposit my bag...warmed up...++ panic... Met Guna, Azli N Choi of the pacemakers...
12.00 midnight ...The 42 km journey began... I paced myself with 6 mins per km ...finished my 20 k in..about 2:02 ... slowin down.. n 30 k in about 3:30 and the other 12 k in about4:59:09.
The last 4 km.. cam no ending..seems like runin another 40 k... felt like runnin in a steady pace but actually u r not...it's time to listen to the body....the mind just have to follow ma...Lack of experience n tactics. We crossed 3 Overhead bridges,.. one with steps,4 small bridges.. ran along cylcling N jogging tracks, sandy,cement n carpet like paths..it was just like running a cross-country Marathon...The Organiser N the Supporters were awesome..thumbs up!!!** It was really a nice N fun run...even tough very the .. tired but the Joy of finsihin...(tak terkata) that endorphin ... overcomes everythin ... that particular moment ... the moment of .............................. excitement, joy,glory,satisfaction ....oh boy...What a Feelin ! ..Wanna feel it...so come lets run !...5.30 am took the shuttle bus back to Pasir Ris Mrt ... N an hour Mrt ride back to Agus's apartment.

... N will I be doin another Marathon..?.......... !!!
Well Y not .... but ..due to my prolonging..injuries.. (my knees) cos of the previous bike accidents..Doc says "time n rest heals it" which is not known when....I am yet to decide...depends on what my body n mind says N on my Gilaness too !!!
Friendship has a lots of this n that to say.. but as 4 Agus N Yulie ...I ain't got no words to say...best,great,awesome,superb..it's....above all...Thank you frens..I had a nice trip travlin from East-West n North- South N nice Indonesian food. C soon in Malaysia.
Next would the Pacemakers Relay meet....till then ..Bye !!!

Sun 25th May 2008..Sg Besi Air Force camp...KL

A new experience running in the Sg.Besi runway..it was about 2 km b4 we took off to the main road.
The Slowmovers..........Chan.Fuzhair,Hasif,Abang,Kak Su,Makcik N Izzat were a part of the thousand runners ....sent of with fireworks along the runway.. to run 21k around KL to Sg Besi. .....Thumbs up to the organisers..(7*)..there were water stations every 5 km, sponge station evey 2.5 km, toilet at km 9, supply of power gel at km 10, First Aid here n there...it was great!!... KLIM should..???.

I ran in a slow pace...met Kp Tan.. tried to pace him..up to km 12 he was in my sight...then...off he go...Finished 160 in 1:54:50. Followed by Fuzahir in about 2:17, Abang (about 2:43),Hasif (about 2:47),Kak Su (about 2:56) N Makcik(about 2:57). Syabas to all 4 doin below 3 hrs..!!! It was a very well organised run. Keep it up RMAF..we want more...!!!
Next would be Sundown Marathon...till then..BYE!!!
