It a kinda of new run for the Slow Movers as it would be in a tunnel. As usual the regulars and three new
members turned up for the carnival. It's a 13.5 km Run and 75th annivesary for Jabatan Pengairan and Saliran. As usual the race started at about 7.30 am , officiate by the Minister. Ran about 1 km on the road, entered the Smart Tunnel and ran 6 km two way fro and finally 0.5 km on the road before reaching the finishing line. Never thought I could be one of the medalist compare to the number of competitors.....lamai mali loh...hampir 1500 olang..utk men open category shj. Finished the race in about 1:12:43.

Su was also one of the medalist in the women open. She,Makcik,Abang,Kakak,Azhar,Zahir and the other members ran basically in a desert like environment as there were no water at the water stations..OH boy......bayangkanlah...13,5 km without a sip of H2O....apa dah jadi....poor mgmt?. I met them after the race...semuanya letih nak mampus....nak bangun ambik gambar pun..tak larat..siot....Lepak sekejap....N ...Adios.

Next run would be the Kuala Lumpur International Run..(KLIM) on the 18th March 2007..

A run which The Slow Movers got to know in last minute N most of us were undecided
as it was to close to the Smart Run. Myself too wasn't sure of going..till my alarm rang at 5.00 am.
Woke up....felt OK..so pegi ajalah.... Reached at 6.00 am ..registered....tapi menyesal ..Y?

The Run only started at about 8.45 am....dah pane siut...macam -camlah ..speech by A,B,C..lagu x.y.z ..etc
Lari 2 km saja ..tekak dah kering...Dah tada mood.... I think it wasn't 10 km cos I manage to finish it in 50 mins...Medals were given to top 40 runners...N guess what ..I got NO 41...Sayang satu kali sayang..just missed by seconds... takpe..menang..kalah..bisa saja pak..it's all apart of the game...

Collected the goodies and the Cert N left at about 11.00 am. Byeeeeeee. Next would B the Smart Tunnel run. C U there... VIVA Slow Movers!!!

Sun..Feb 25 ,07... Lake Garden

The Slow Movers r back...in a bigger team ..for the 22nd X-country. The first
for all the members. Kinda of tiring cos had to run on slippery roads, staircase, up hills, cross the widest river N drain in KL..etc. Manage to finish the race in about 45 mins. Not a good run actually but not bad.
Su and her two sibblings manage to get the finisher medals. The Slow Movers are improving in every run.
Keep it up !!!

We have two more new members - from the Accounts dept of Bernama (Mr.Azhar and Mr.Fuzahir) .

The first race for the year of 2007....

The Slow Movers are back on the track again...running further N further N now it's the 20 KM
pacesetters run. Only two registered (Jaya N Chan) for this run as it was a late decision. Jaya couldn't make it..so it was only me to rep the Slow Movers.

The race began sharp at 6.30 am. About 500 runners were there.. 3.2.1..... go... It was one of my best run. First 3 km I was slow (jogging) as belum warm up N belum dapat tempo lagi.. .. then next 14 km I ran well..good pacing.....but still lack of training kot.... at km 18 onwards...I stopped twice... ..
Manage to finish in 2hrs 02min 16 sec at the position of 89... could have done better...!!

Collected the goodies and took part in some kind of survey by Great Eastern. Sayonara at about 9.00 am..
C u all at the next race....

Wangsa Maju - SetiaWangsa Charity Run

Sat, 18th Nov... kinda of cloudy...

It's Charity time... at Wangsa Maju.. The annual WM-SM Charity Run.....8.7 KM
Tak payah..cari..de...for sure.. ada member2 Slow Movers..and Su...she brought the entire
family...It 's her family day kot... but Myself N jaya met none of them...only the makcik (kak Su) while
running... after the race we just went off cos myself was working on that day......N Jaya too had
something on...

NEW.....guess wat?.. we had a new member for the club...Mr Amin..the budak kecil..
we just saw him at the starting point...with his sleepy face...lepas..tu..entah mana dia pi... anyhow
he manage to finish the race.... Myself completed the race in about 43 min.....boleh improve lagi kot...

Never N Dun give up .....The Slow Movers will keep on tryin N tryin N tryin...

Subang Jaya 10km

5th Nov 2006....Shiny Morning

The Slow Movers are back on the route after a long break...raya ma........ N now
it's for the Subang jaya 10 km run. Go..go..go...Sloooooow Mooooovers...

Most of the members were there ..Myself, Jaya, Su, Makcik, Abang Su N Rosatlee..
The route was better then the killler mizuno runner..not much of hills... but just couldn't
run well.. stopped twice.....raya too long kot! .....itulah.. lain kali..kalau makan free..
jgn makan cam ....sendiri mau ingatlah... Somehow manage to finish in about 55 min's

Next Run would be at Wanga Maju......in two weeks time.... ADIOOOOOS!

Mizuno Wave Run

7 of the members turn out for the 10 km run. It began tajam at 7.30 pm,,..Oops..It's 7.29.55....
5..4..3..2..1........there we go ...
It was really a very easy N fun run.....wanna know Y?....hhheehe ..All the way.... Bukit siot....(Bukit Tunku Area).. tapi.. none of us gave up...All the Slow Movers completed the race (Larian Bukit). The champ was from Kenya and I would have beaten him if only he could keep up to my pace... what a waste...
