A kinda of Fun Run organised by the Kuala Lumpur Veteran Association (KLAVA) in Raub.
There were 10 teams N we the Slow Movers .. repped.. by Chan, Jaya N Javier were one of them...an invitation by the Hons Sec Of KLAVA....Ms Julie.... Thank You.! It was nice to meet the members of Klava N other runners such the 1990 Bangkok Marathon Champ.. Mr Durai, Mr Tey, Mr Naidu,..etc...

Met at Bernama about 5.00 am..fetch Javier N the wife at LRT Sentul Timur N off we go..to Raub..It's about 1 hr 45 min on a easy drive. The race took place in front of the Magistrate Court...along the small road leading uphill towards the District Officer's Bungalow,... surrounded by hanging trees N bee hives....providing shade....you can run at any time....very the Nice.

The race starts at about 8.30 am. Jaya was the first runner, followed by Chan N Javier.We finsihed as the Champ in about 00:18:16 . Well Done ! ... Chit-chat... went to the Ground nut Factory in Sempalit... Gathered some knowledge on how the Cambodian N the Chinese nuts were processed n packed. Bought a few packets... at about 10.30 am ..we hit the road again...Back to KL. Bye everyone N Raub.

One of most awaited race ...which is said to have it's own standard being orgainsed by the Pacestters. The Slow Movers are doing it for the second time.. THe Hill run.. reached the spot at about 6.50 am. Met Kp Tan, some of the Pacemakers, Su N Fairul.. Kinda of tada mood n was yawning a lot b4 the race...no training at all... as byk benda pop up thru out the week...it might b the last race b4 the fasting month..so just took it cooly...sharp 7.30am... The Honk blared...Poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong....!!!

Off the runners...to conquer the same Bkt Tunku hill yet another time...for the distance of 10 km. Myself ran as usual....it's just that ...the same prob all the time....nature callin...always wrong timing...very the kacaulah...finished in about 51:50 at the position of 116... better timing from the last mizuno...N boleh di improvekan lagi...cos I had the power to push but.. too late...!!!!! followed by Javier..at 135.... as usual ..late start..then Jaya came in...N Fairul...Abang, Kakak,Su N Makcik...N finally the runner of the day ....Mr.Haeezan... never gave up till the end...We caya sama lu !!!

Grabbed all the stuffs... milo ... powerbar... mineral water..fruits..cereal...lapar siot...collected my 15k run.. cert.... chit chat..Met Ms Julie,Uncle Steven n the Gang.... sent Haeezan to the car park...n off I go... cos nak pi ke Matta Fair.... Planning to go to New Delhi for a Half Marathon In October...Lets c how it goes... Bye for now to all the runners!..C u all in the next race...!!

Sun, 2nd Sept 2007, Stadium Sultan Sulaiman, Klang...

It was a fine sunday...Jaya fetched me at my house at about 6.00 am...masuk NKVE ...head to Klang...manage to find the Stadium....called Hazreen as he is having our vests N the bibs..Changed n did some warm-up around the track.. 7.15 am...Pooooooooooooooong..!

The runners were off...some ran to add the medal N cert collections, some for better health(fit), some for fun, some for better timing, some for the glory, some had to run...(addicted)...N etc...12 km of running...another unexplainable feeling that would surround u once u have done it....Oh boy....What a feelin..!!! I am addicted to it...Ran in a normal pace...thru out the race but I think it's gettin faster..as my timing is better.I finished in 57:51:97. Just that I had
to control my nature callin almost 3/4 of the race. Sampai saja...dapat medal...terus pecut..towards....mana lagi.... What a relief.....!!!!! Jaya did it in about 1:05. The Slowmovers had two newbies running.... Mr Hazreen N Mr Hasif. Both of them manage to finish it without much training. Well Done guys N Welcome!!!

Minum Milo as usual...(ketagih) N lepak around for the Prize givin ceremony N the lucky draw..as usual tak bertuah langsung!...Met some of the running mates like Gana, Sara, Kp Tan N gang, Runningmom,Pacemakers n etc..Nice talking to u all mates....Left at 10.00 am... Bye Klang...!

Next run would the 10k Mizuno Wave Run at padang Merbok ,KL..C U n Bye!!
