The Asean Veteran Carnival organised by Selangor Masters Athletic Asoc started sharp at 8.00 pm with the first event being the 5km road race, followed by the 4 x100, 4x400 and Medley and fancy football.The Veteran Slowmovers also took part. Myself ran in the Road race, 4 by 400 and Medley. Saja... for fun...Very the nampak sgt...i tak boleh sprint...!!!

Finished 9th in the road race but the other two races.....hahhahaha.!!!!!! 5th in 4 x 400 and 3rd in the medley.Very the tiring...too !!!...but it was fun!!!...Syabas to All !!!.... Followed Fuzahir back to the off.. at about 11.30pm. Lepak kat opis as it was Nomination day...n all my friends were there.... sibuk kejo....!

Next would be KLIM... till then.. Bye!!!

The Running fever has begun... As usual al the Pro's, casual runners, regular runners were there.... N of course the Slowmovers too...I ran in a burning tempreature..demam siut.... panas giler.. sampai tak perlu warm up da... It was really a crazy move to run but something keeps on telin me... u can do it....can do it.. ?... Pengsan kot...!!!

Last year I was categorize under Men's open.... This year pulak.. dah promote ke Junior Veteran... dunno Y ?.... Anyhow OK jugak cos dapat menang medal.. tempat ke 45.. cayalah...!! All the ladies too grabbed a medal each....! Syabas Slowmovers...!!! I am still not feelin that well ... so just wanna adios...!!!

Next would be the Veteran Carnival at Bukit Jalil..Bye!

A date with Supernova...

Thursday..7th February 2008...TTDI Lembah Kiara Park.....
It's Chinese New Year...and Welcome to the Rat...So thought of tryin out the new Adidas Supernova... took her for a date N kissed her with my feet for about 30 mins...more than 6 km. Didn't wanna go far as it was new N I do have bad experiences with new shoes...!!!

She was a kinda of- heavy compare to my previous shoes but it really gave me the comfartableness..spongy...cushioning N cooling which makes you feel like wanna go further n further...suitable for long distance running.!... Everytime when I hit the ground, I felt smooth landing ... Good Absorbtion N no squeaky sounds ..less impact to my knees...!!

The Formation feature supports fine as I ran in uneven roads. it adjusts well to the condition....
She doesn't moves much while running N gives a good grip...!!!

What ..! Supernova 7.... Yeap..! it is but you have to test it N submit the report..that's the only condition...to own it.!. I got it from Mr Krishnan, the Head of Running at the Adidas office in Plaza Damansara. It was very kind of him to entertain me although he was in a mid of a meeting. Gave me a UK 7.5 white/blue/greyish eye catching shoe...the one above... Thank You sir...!

Why Supernova 7 ....cos it was designed with 7 new features /technologies which makes it one of best long distance running shoes to take you far and fast.....( depends on the runners too...their shape of the foot,weight...etc)

The 7 features.... which I would like to test it out...in all my trainings and runs...
-Geofit at ankles
-Nylon linings and molded dual layer for quick dry
-adiPRENE midsoles to absorb shocks
-adiPRENE under forefeet to retain natural forces,

Sunday 3rd February, 2008... KL Tower,

It's time to go up in your life... up u go all the way 2,058 staircases about 1.02km.The Slowmovers were there to crawl n to conquer the Tower. The Race starts at 8.00 am..The runners/climbers were let off stage by stage with 200 in each batch at the interval of 15 mins.
Myself, Su , Abang . Jaya,Hamid,Hasif N Hazreen ran in the Media group n were the last to go at 9.45am.

We ran 1 km uphill n climbed 2,058 staircases. Myself finished 3rd...followed by Jaya ,Hasif N Hamid... Suriati too finished 3rd in her category which was dominated by Bernama. Syabas to all the winners.... Well Done !!! We had to wait up to 2.00 pm to collect the cheque...very the bad management...!!!! cos very the hungry...!!.. collected the goodies N terus Ziajiang...!

Next would b the FTAA Cross Country... c u folks....Bye !!!

The thrill of running has began...All the junkies were back in action...for the 30k Great Eastern run...in conjunction of 100th anniversary of Great Eastern.. The Rep of SlowMovers were Myself, Abang N Fuzahir.. (30k),Javier,Fairul,Su,Makcik,Kak Sumarni, N kak Aida (20k). Arrived just on time...ain't got no time to panas-up..checked in n the race starts...30 k....!!!

Tak sangka first 10 k tu...10k mizuno double hill..very the teruk... ...first time. tryin 30k....No planning ma...N just wanna complete... i took it easy ,slow n steady N didn't push too hard due to some reasons. After the race... ok aja...boleh improve lagi...N feel like doin a full marathon soon...Maybe SIM !!! Syabas to all the runners specially to Makcik , kakak Sumarni N kak Aida....first time doin 20k... Collected the medal n goodies (finisher towel)...did some post mortem about the run..lepak....met a lot of running mates ..chit-chat N Adiossssssss !

Next would be the KL Towerthon....Bye !!!

Tue, 1st January 2008, Lake Garden...K.L...

The New Year run @Pacemakers network run was the Opener of Year 2008 running schedule...The Slowmovers repped by Chan,Sri,Su,Hasif,Hazreen,Haizan,Hamid N Fairul joined in to add some spice n fun to the event. The Organisers were OK... with enough food, water supply,nice medals, friendly but the location.. a kind of.....boring ma..running around N around...
Lelaki ran 6 loops @ 13.8 km while ladies did 2 loops@4.6 km. Finished 7th in catergory D with timing of 01:10:57. I can c that my performance is a kinda of droppin..due to the knee pain since the Klava-Deepavali Relay....since then I know that i can move faster but fear to push harder ....might make things worse...in the mid of seeking medical consultant......!!!!!.
I will keep on running till my body retires..even with the slowest pace...cos running is my passion n it has become a part of my life...n how could I say no to my life...?...

Slowmovers brought in newbies N some of the runners are very ....new to running ..running 4 the first time..N all of them managed to finish the race..Hats off babes......cayalah...!!! n more to come... Slowmovers to 2008....running running n running...!!! We would like to thank the Pacemakers for organising such a Lovely n friendly run....keep it up....! C u N Bye...Happy New Year 2008 !!!
